It's More Than a Braai. It's a Feeling.

I'm a premium compact stainless steel braai — tough as nails, built to last and designed to go wherever the good times take you.

Made from solid 304 stainless steel with a 316 food-grade stainless steel cooking grill, I can handle the heat and then some.

But let's be honest... It's not really about the braai. It's about the vibe around it.

Charkii was born from a love of the South African braai and fired up here on the Gold Coast, Australia.

The idea started with something pretty simple: standing around a fire, cooking up a proper feed, having a laugh and spending time with good people.

If you ask my mates and family about some of the best times we've had, there's a pretty good chance I'll be somewhere nearby — tongs in hand, smoke everywhere, probably telling someone they're doing it wrong... and a cold brandy within reach.

Because that's what a braai is. It's not just cooking meat. It's bringing people together.

The Art of the Braai Braaing isn't just throwing meat on a grill and hoping for the best.

There's a bit of an art to it. You've got to pick your cuts right.

Maybe it's the missus' sweet pork rashers. Maybe it's my daughter's favourite lamb chops. Maybe it's my son's go-to steaks.

Then comes the flavour. And this is where things get interesting. Sometimes it's bold and spicy. Sometimes sweet. Sometimes a little tangy.

And sometimes... It's just whatever I feel like throwing together on the day.

That's how things like our smokey BBQ spice, Snotklap spice and rich bourbon sauce came to life.

No complicated rules.Just big flavour.

Then There's the Fire Anyone can throw charcoal into a braai.

Getting the fire right is another story. You've got to give it time.

Let the flames settle. Get those coals glowing. Don't rush it.

And then comes that magic moment...

The meat hits the grill. SIZZLE. That's the good stuff.

That's the sound that gets everyone suddenly interested in what's happening at the braai.
